| Arsitektur Jaringan UMTS |
1. Umum Universal Mobile Telecommunication System (UMTS) saat ini dipandang sebagai sebuah sistem impian yang menggantikan Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM). UMTS merupakan salah satau evolusi generasi ketiga (3G) dari jaringan mobile. UMTS juga memperlihatkan permintaan yang makin berkembang dari aplikasi mobile dan aplikasi internet untuk kapasitas baru sehinga dunia komunikasi mobile makin ramai. Transmisi peningkatan jaringannya mencapai kecepatan sampai 2 Mbps per pemakai mobile dan menetapkan suatu standard penjelajahan yang global. UMTS disebut juga sebagai Wideband - Code Division Multiple Access (W-CDMA). Sistem ini mengijinkan banyak aplikasi yang lain untuk diperkenalkan ke pelosok di seluruh dunia kepada para pemakai mobile dan menyediakan suatu link yang penting di masa kini antara sistem GSM dan standar terakhir dari worldwide tunggal untuk seluruh telekomunikasi mobile, International Mobile Telecommunications-2000 (IMT-2000).

| CDMA2000, Sebuah Evolusi 3G CDMA |
1. Umum Sistem komunikasi nirkabel generasi ke tiga (3G) dikembangkan dari sistem-sistem yang ada pada generasi ke dua (2G), yang bertujuan untuk menyediakan seperangkat standar tunggal yang dapat memenuhi aplikasi-aplikasi wireless yang luas variasinya dan menyediakan akses yang bersifat universal di seluruh dunia. CDMA2000 adalah salah satu teknologi generasi ke tiga (3G), merupakan suatu keluarga dari teknologi yang memungkinkan evolusi dari CDMA2000 1x ke CDMA2000 1xEV-DO dan CDMA2000 1xEV-DV. Sistem ini juga sebagai teknologi evolusioner hemat biaya untuk operator CDMA. CDMA2000 hanya memerlukan 1.25 MHZ dari spektrum per kanal atau carrier dan kompatibel dengan sistem sebelumnya yaitu CDMAONE IS-95A/B.

| Soft Handoff Pada Sistem CDMA2000 |
1. Soft Handoff Handoff atau handover ialah proses perubahan pelayanan/peng-handle-an sebuah Mobile Station (MS) dari suatu BTS ke satu BTS lain dikarenakan adanya pergerakan MS yang menjauhi BTS awal dan mendekati BTS baru selama MS sedang melakukan pembicaraan. Pada saat akan melakukan proses handoff, mobile station berkomunikasi dengan dua atau tiga sektor pada sel yang berbeda. Base station yang mempunyai kontrol langsung pada proses panggilan selama handoff disebut base station utama (primary base station) sedangkan base station lain yang tidak mempunyai kontrol langsung pada proses panggilan disebut base station kedua (secondary base station). Soft handoff berakhir ketika base station utama atau base station kedua terputus. Jika base station utama terputus maka base station kedua menjadi base station utama yang akan menghandel proses panggilan tersebut.

internet adalah salah satu media informasi, edukasi, bahkan pornografi. disini lah kita bisa mendapatkan segala macam informasi baik berupa gambar, text, suara en etc.
fasilitas yang bisa digunakan dalam aplikasi internet diantaranya adalah browsing, email, ecomersial, chatting, download en masih banyak lagi yang bisa di akses melalui internet. ada sebagian orang yang berpendapat bahwa, untuk menjelajah dunia cukup dengan mengakses media yang bernama internet. karena disini kita akan dengan mudah mengetahui budaya negara lain [misalnya] hanya cukup open situs.
